Meet Barbelle | Black & Tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppy
Meet Barbelle, a beautiful Black & Tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel girl from Zach and Oriole. Her rich black coat paired with warm tan markings gives her the beautiful, classic coloring that makes Black & Tan Cavaliers so striking. She is still very young, and we are excited to watch her grow and see more of her individual personality begin to emerge.
Right now, Barbelle's days are filled with plenty of sleep, growing, time with her littermates, and gentle care and attention. As she gets older and becomes more curious about her surroundings, she will gradually experience new sights, sounds, routines, and interactions that help prepare her for life beyond our home.
We love watching our puppies develop during these early weeks. Each stage brings something new, and we look forward to getting to know this little girl as she grows.
Growing, Learning & Preparing for Home
The weeks before a puppy goes home provide valuable opportunities to introduce some of the everyday routines she will experience with her future family. Beginning at approximately 7 weeks of age, Barbelle will be introduced to:
- A structured potty-training routine
- Beginning crate training
- Gentle leash exposure
- Basic commands such as sit and come
- Positive reinforcement and encouragement
These early lessons are meant to provide a helpful foundation. We don't expect a young puppy to have everything mastered before go-home day. Instead, our goal is to make these routines familiar so her new family can continue building on what she has learned.
