Say Hello to Echo
Meet Echo, our beautiful Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel girl from Misty and Riley! With her classic chestnut and white coloring and that unmistakably sweet Cavalier look, Echo is such a lovely little girl to have growing up here at Blessed Little Pups.
Right now, Echo's days are wonderfully simple. She's busy growing, resting, spending time with her mom and littermates, and receiving plenty of gentle handling and individual attention from us.
As she gets older, we'll begin seeing more and more of who Echo is becoming. One of our favorite parts of raising puppies is watching those little personalities emerge naturally. Rather than deciding ahead of time what kind of puppy Echo will be, we're excited to let her show us!
A Little World That Gets Bigger Every Day
The first several weeks of a puppy's life are filled with new discoveries.
As Echo becomes more curious and mobile, we'll gradually introduce her to different sights, sounds, surfaces, people, routines, and age-appropriate activities. These experiences are introduced little by little, giving her opportunities to explore while still allowing her to develop at a comfortable pace.
Some days may bring a brand-new sound to investigate. Other days might include a different surface under those tiny paws, a new toy, or simply extra time interacting with our family.
To us, socialization isn't about overwhelming a puppy with as many experiences as possible. It's about creating positive little moments that help familiarize our puppies with the world they'll eventually encounter outside our home.
Echo's First Puppy Lessons
At around 7 weeks old, Echo will begin working on some of the basic skills and routines we introduce before our puppies head home.
She'll get her first experience with:
- Going potty outside
- Becoming comfortable with a crate
- Walking on a leash
- Early recall
- Basic commands including sit, come, and stay
- Learning through praise and positive reinforcement
These are introductions rather than expectations of perfection. Echo will still be a young puppy with plenty left to learn when she joins her family.
Our goal is simply to give her a helpful beginning so her family has a foundation they can continue building on at home.
That Beautiful Blenheim Cavalier Look
Echo's Blenheim coat is one of the classic color patterns of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
The combination of rich chestnut markings against a white background gives Blenheim Cavaliers their beautiful, traditional appearance. As Echo grows and her puppy coat develops, we're looking forward to seeing her markings and overall look mature right along with her.
Of course, beautiful coloring is only part of what has made Cavaliers such treasured companions.
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has a long history as a companion breed and is known for being people-oriented and closely connected to family life. They're the kind of dogs that often want to know what their people are doing and, more importantly, whether they can come along!
Thoughtfully Raised From the Very Beginning
Echo is the daughter of Misty and Riley, who are genetically tested and OFA certified.
Health testing our parent dogs is an important part of the way we approach our breeding program at
Blessed Little Pups. It helps us make thoughtful, informed decisions when planning our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel litters.
Once our puppies arrive, our focus turns to giving them the care and experiences they need during these important early weeks.
Echo will receive daily interaction, early socialization, gentle handling, and individual care as she grows. There will be plenty of time for learning and exploring, but also plenty of time for the things puppies do best: eating, sleeping, playing, and snuggling!
Packing Echo's Little Puppy Bag
When the time comes for Echo to leave Blessed Little Pups and begin her next adventure, she'll take several familiar comforts and important essentials along with her.
Echo will go home with:
- Up-to-date vaccinations and complete health records
- Health guarantee
- Microchip identification
- A blanket carrying familiar scents from her litter
- Starter PawTree premium puppy food
- A favorite toy
- A leash
- Lifetime breeder support from Blessed Little Pups
We especially value that last one.
Our relationship with our puppy families doesn't end on go-home day. We're always happy to remain a resource as our puppies settle into their homes, continue their training, and grow into beloved family companions.
So Much Growing Still to Come
Echo may be tiny now, but there's a lot waiting for her over the next several weeks.
She'll discover toys, learn new routines, become more confident on those little puppy paws, begin her first training exercises, and slowly show us more of the personality that's uniquely hers.
Those changes happen surprisingly quickly, which makes this stage of puppyhood so much fun to watch.
Before long, this beautiful Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy will be ready to take everything she's experienced here at Blessed Little Pups and begin an entirely new collection of adventures with her family.
Until then, we're going to enjoy every bit of watching little Echo grow. ❤️
