Meet Faith | Black & Tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppy

This beautiful little girl is Faith, a black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy from Hope and Zach.

Her rich black coat paired with warm tan markings gives her the gorgeous, classic appearance of a black and tan Cavalier, and we can't wait to see how much she changes as she grows.

Faith was born on September 2, 2026, and is spending her first weeks here with us at Blessed Little Pups in Goshen, Indiana.

At this stage, life is still pretty simple. There are plenty of naps, meals, snuggles with littermates, and lots of growing to do. But that little puppy world won't stay small for long. Each week brings something new as Faith becomes more aware of her surroundings and begins interacting more with the people, sounds, toys, and activity around her.

We're looking forward to getting to know Faith as her individual personality begins to shine. We prefer to let our puppies develop naturally rather than deciding too early what their personalities will be, and watching those little traits emerge is one of our favorite parts of raising them.

Building Good Habits Before Faith Goes Home

By the time Faith reaches around 7 weeks old, puppy life will start getting a little busier. We'll begin introducing her to several basic skills and routines that her future family can continue once she gets home.

Faith will begin learning:

  • That potty time happens outside
  • How to relax and become comfortable in a crate
  • The basics of walking on a leash
  • Early recall and responding when called
  • Introductory commands including sit, come, and stay
  • How to learn through praise and positive reinforcement

Faith will still be a young puppy when she heads home, so these skills will be a work in progress. Our goal is to give her an introduction to these routines so they aren't completely new when her family continues training at home.

Faith's Parents: Hope & Zach

Behind Faith are her parents, Hope and Zach, and their health information is an important part of her story.

Both parents have completed genetic and OFA health testing. At Blessed Little Pups, health testing and thoughtful parent selection are important parts of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeding program and the planning that goes into each litter.

We want families to know as much as possible about the dogs behind their puppy and the care that went into bringing that puppy into the world.

Everything Faith Will Take Home

When November 4, 2026 arrives, Faith will be ready to trade life with all of her littermates for an exciting new adventure with her own family.

She'll bring several things along to help make those first days a little easier:

  • Up-to-date vaccinations and complete health records
  • Health guarantee
  • Microchip identification
  • A blanket with familiar scents from her littermates
  • Starter puppy food
  • A favorite toy
  • A leash
  • Lifetime breeder support from Blessed Little Pups

We know bringing home a puppy is exciting, but it's also a big transition for the puppy. Sending Faith home with a few familiar items can help bridge the gap between everything she knows here and her brand-new surroundings.

Faith's Puppy Days At Blessed Little Pups in Goshen, Indiana

There is much more happening during these early weeks than simply watching Faith get bigger.

As she reaches different developmental stages, she'll gradually be introduced to new sights, sounds, handling, routines, play, training, and age-appropriate experiences. Growing up around everyday activity gives her opportunities to safely explore and become familiar with a world that gets a little bigger every week.

Her brothers and sisters are a big part of these early experiences too. They're Faith's first playmates, cuddle buddies, and partners in puppy adventures. As the litter becomes more active, there will be plenty of playing, exploring, wrestling, and learning together.

We want Faith to have a thoughtful start while still giving her plenty of time to simply enjoy being a puppy.

The Beauty of a Black & Tan Cavalier

Faith's black and tan coloring is one of the four recognized color patterns of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Her glossy black coat is accented by rich tan markings that appear around the face, chest, and legs, creating a beautiful contrast.

As Faith matures, her coat will continue developing and the longer feathering associated with an adult Cavalier will gradually begin to appear.

Beyond their beautiful appearance, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have a long history as companion dogs. They are known for their people-oriented nature and desire to be involved in everyday family life, whether that means heading out for an adventure or simply finding the perfect place to relax near their favorite people.

November 4 Starts a Whole New Adventure

Faith will be ready to leave Blessed Little Pups on November 4, 2026.

Between now and then, this little girl has quite a bit on her puppy calendar. She'll continue growing, discover new things, begin her early training, spend lots of time with her littermates, and give us more glimpses of the personality that's beginning to emerge.

We're excited to watch Faith grow from the tiny black and tan girl she is today into a beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy ready to begin life with a family of her own.

If Faith has caught your eye, we'd love to tell you more about her and help you decide whether this beautiful little Cavalier girl could be the right fit for your family.
