Meet Milkyway | Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppy

Meet Milkyway, a handsome Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy born to Riley and Leti on July 28, 2026. His beautiful chestnut markings against a white coat give him the traditional Blenheim appearance that is so recognizable in the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed.

Milkyway is still in the early stages of puppyhood, so there is plenty for us to discover about this sweet boy. Right now, much of his time is spent sleeping, growing, interacting with his littermates, and receiving gentle hands-on attention.

As Milkyway becomes more active and curious, we will gradually introduce him to different sounds, surfaces, people, and everyday experiences. These early weeks are an exciting time because puppies change so quickly. Little by little, we get to see their confidence grow and their individual personalities begin to emerge.

Early Training & Preparing Milkyway for Home

Before Milkyway leaves Blessed Little Pups, we want him to have some familiarity with the basic routines that will become part of his new life. At around 7 weeks of age, we will begin introducing simple, age-appropriate training.

Milkyway's early training will include:

  • Beginning potty training with a consistent routine
  • An introduction to crate training
  • Gentle leash practice
  • Introduction to basic commands such as sit and come
  • Praise, encouragement, and positive reinforcement

We view this training as a head start rather than expecting a young puppy to have these skills completely mastered. Introducing these concepts early gives Milkyway a foundation that his new family can continue developing after he goes home.

What Comes Home With Milkyway

Go-home day is an exciting milestone, and we want our families to feel prepared for those first days together. When Milkyway heads home, he will bring several familiar items and important health information with him, including:

  • Up-to-date vaccinations and complete health records
  • A health guarantee
  • Microchip identification
  • A blanket carrying familiar scents from his litter
  • Starter PawTree premium puppy food
  • A favorite toy
  • A leash
  • Lifetime breeder support from Blessed Little Pups

Milkyway comes from Riley and Leti, who are both genetically tested and OFA certified. The health testing of our parent dogs is an important part of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeding program and the care we put into planning each litter.

What Is It Like to Have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel?

One of the qualities that makes Cavalier King Charles Spaniels such beloved companions is their desire to be close to their people. Cavaliers are known for being affectionate, gentle, and people-oriented dogs that often enjoy being involved in the everyday activities of their families.

They can be playful and curious while also appreciating plenty of quiet time and affection. Their adaptable personalities, expressive faces, and loving nature have made Cavaliers a treasured companion breed for families around the world.

Milkyway's First Weeks at Blessed Little Pups

We believe there should be a balance between preparing puppies for their futures and simply allowing them to enjoy being puppies. During Milkyway's time with us, he will receive daily care and interaction while gradually experiencing new things appropriate for his age and stage of development.

Each new experience is another small part of preparing him for the much bigger world he will discover with his future family.

Milkyway will be ready to leave Blessed Little Pups on September 29, 2026. Until that day arrives, we'll continue caring for this beautiful Blenheim boy, watching him grow, and enjoying all the little milestones that happen along the way.
